JJ spent most of her childhood growing up in Canandaigua, NY. Before accepting her AmeriCorps position with Habitat for Humanity, she was a student at the University of Stirling, in Scotland - where she graduated with a dual degree in Sociology and Spanish.
JJ has volunteered abroad in many countries, including South Africa, Peru, Honduras, Mexico and Scotland. She led her first volunteer trip to Costa Rica when she was 16. Back in her hometown again, she’s very excited for the opportunity to lead Ontario County’s first Global Village trip, once again combining her love for travel and her passion for helping others. She wants to give back to her community and inspire others to do their part to accomplish Habitat’s vision: a world where everyone has a decent place to live!
