21st Habitat Home Begins Construction
August 14, 2017

Habitat for Humanity of Ontario County is proud to announce John Lombardi as Construction Manager for our local affiliate.

A native of the Hudson Valley, John is a third generation professional builder that’s worked on residential, commercial and institutional projects through the US.  In tandem with his experience as a custom and speculative housing developer, and his “hands-on- tools” approach to running his companies, a portion of John’s portfolio includes restoration of several nationally recognized historic landmarks.

Before settling into his dream job at Habitat of Ontario County, John also served two decades as a professor of construction technology, management and design at three northeastern colleges, as well as two terms as chairman at a community social and mental health care provider.

With a lifelong devotion to using his technical skills to help other people, John has served as a volunteer firefighter and ambulance driver, and together with his son Ben, has cultivated, harvested and distributed thousands of pounds of fresh produce to nonprofit organizations, school programs and food banks.

As Construction Manager, John will oversee all construction activities including new home construction, rehab, and repairs. “We are thrilled to have John as part of our Habitat team”, said Nash Bock, Executive Director. Welcome aboard John!
